Evalds started to play piano when he was 7 years old. Studied in Daugavpils Music school with Elina Bambane. After in Emils Darzins Music school (Riga) with Lelde Paula. ow he is studing in Jazeps Vitols Latvian academy of music with Juris Zvikovs. Evalds is participated in many festivals and masterclasses as a soloist and chamber musician in Latvia, Estonija, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Czhech Republic and U. S. A. He won Knuts Lesins award for young musicians in Sigulda international masterclasses (3 solo concerts in U. S. A. ).
Evalds participated in masterclasses of Dina Yoffe (RU), Uga Grant (USA), Vsevolod Dvorkin (IT), Diana Ketler (UK), Vestard Shimkus (LV) and others.
