FOCUS ON YOUTH

Program:

At the “Focus on Youth” concert, to be held at the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum, the young participants will have the opportunity to perform in public and present the results of their work, in collaboration with Lithuanian pianist Petro Bondar.

The program will feature exceptional young artists from the international masterclass. The program will be selected during the masterclass.

FINAL GALA CONCERT

Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music High School, 85 Kęstučio St., 44299 Kaunas

The festival will conclude on 8 November with a Final Gala Concert at Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium, bringing together students from Lithuania and abroad and members of the international faculty, in collaboration with Lithuanian pianist Petro Bondar. The program will feature exceptional young artists from the international masterclass. The program will be selected during the masterclass.

A special part of the programme will be Tango Rendezvous International, an artistic project created and led by American violinist and composer Alejandro Drago. The project combines the standards of classical music performance with the authentic character and roots of tango, creating a dialogue between tango’s oral musical tradition and academic classical music practice. Drago’s compositions will be performed at the final gala concert in collaboration with students from the course and Lithuanian pianist Julija Sadaunykaitė.
